SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
An expert on the value of outsourcing, UGL Unicco selected Procure+ from ePlus Inc. to provide a hosted solution for 24x7x365 web-based access between UGL Unicco users, vendors and customers across North America. Procure+ automates the purchasing of supplies and subcontractor services and allows employees to quickly search or browse catalogs for all approved products from all authorized vendors and assures that lowest level pricing contracts are automatically observed. It provides us with greater visibility into spend management initiatives—enabling competitive advantages reflected by lower costs, improved performance, increased responsiveness, and complete financial integration to manage its service delivery model for customers.

GENERAL DISBURSEMENTS
UGL Unicco's General Disbursements Department ensures our 2,000+ active suppliers are paid timely and accurately. Invoices are received at a central location, scanned, and indexed into our Imaging System. Invoices that can not be immediately processed are routed on the web to operations for approval. From the time the invoice is received until the payment is released, we have complete tracking of the transaction. In addition, our disbursement team administers a Procurement Card Program. Over 65,000 low dollar high volume purchasing transactions are paid on purchasing cards eliminating the paper handling and giving suppliers instant payment.
CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION AND ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLES
A vital function of any provider/client relationship is the ability to provide accurate invoicing in a timely manner. Our billing and accounts receivable teams are organized on a geographic or customer-focused basis familiarizing our staff on the special needs of our customers resulting in fewer errors and faster service. In addition, customers have available to them a wide variety of invoice and payment methods including EDI and EFT and other electronic methods.
EMPLOYEE SERVICES
The most valuable commodity we provide to our clients is our people. Making sure these people are compensated in a timely and efficient manner is the task of Shared Services' Payroll Department. Payroll processes some 17,500 paychecks every week (roughly 900,000 annually) for employees throughout North America. Payroll specialists monitor compliance with all state and federal hiring guidelines as well as ensuring proper deductions of taxes, benefits, and other compensation programs. To ensure accurate paychecks employee hours are reported using automated methods including Kronos and time entry application (TEA), both web-based time entry systems. Our union administration specialists handle the payroll and benefits administration for 8,000 union employees encompassing 120 collective bargaining agreements. UGL Unicco's Benefits department administers 70 different benefit plans throughout the U.S. and Canada. These programs include medical, dental, life insurance, long and short-term disability insurance, accident insurance, retirement and executive compensation plans.
CALL CENTER/HELP DESK
The call center offers "real time" response services to our clients, operations management, and employees. Help desk agents are on hand from 8am to 7pm (ET) daily to answer queries and route callers to the information sources they require. The call center also tracks each call, monitoring the speed and accuracy of our response to provide an important internal performance measure.
